Collector Principle
VIP Vault is built for collectors who value access without stress, priority handling, and clear hierarchy. ArtMX remains art-first.
VIP members are never expected to buy every drop—public or VIP-only. If a release isn’t to your taste, you simply skip it.
Core VIP Benefits
-
VIP Drop Link (Early Access): sent at least 1 hour before the public drop time, and may be sent earlier (including the day before) at the discretion of ArtMX.
The VIP link is purchasable upon receipt. -
Free Shipping + Shipping Priority: VIP orders are processed first in the fulfillment queue.
Customs, duties, and local taxes are excluded. - VIP Concierge: vip@artmx.com
-
VIP XXL Pricing: $500 per XXL (standard $650).
Subject to availability and Allocation Mode on limited releases.
Companion Set Upgrades (10 per Year)
VIP members receive 10 personal redeem codes during the 2026 program year. Each code may be redeemed once at checkout to add a matching XXL art companion card to a purchase of an eligible regular Art Card.
- How it works: buy an eligible regular Art Card, apply one Companion code at checkout, and the matching XXL companion card is added to your order.
- One code = one upgrade (one use per code).
- Eligibility: only applies to releases where a matching XXL companion card exists and is designated eligible by ArtMX.
- Program year: codes are intended for redemption during the 2026 program year.
Example: you purchase a regular Art Card from an eligible release and apply Companion Code #1 at checkout. A matching XXL companion card is added to your shipment.
Companion Reserve (Fairness): For releases marked Companion-Eligible, ArtMX reserves a dedicated pool of matching XXL companions exclusively for VIP Companion code redemption during the release window. This pool is ring-fenced and is not reduced due to popularity. The number of matching XXL companions for a release will never exceed the number of regular Art Cards for that release (1:1 cap).
VIP Experiences (Periodic)
- VIP Blind Box: periodic VIP-only blind box opportunities may be offered. Contents vary and may include true one-of-one pieces.
- Special Goodies: VIP members may receive occasional small perks or surprises as part of the program experience.
VIP-Only Drops
VIP members receive access to one VIP-only drop per month (12 total across 2026), offered at regular prices. VIP-only drops operate under a private purchase window:
- Drop window: 24 hours from the private drop time.
- Initial limit: each VIP may purchase up to one piece during the 24-hour window.
- If fewer than 10 VIP members participate during the window, the population count may fall to the number of participating VIP buyers. Remaining pieces may be vaulted / not produced unless participating VIPs elect to purchase additional pieces during the window (subject to availability).
Example: a VIP-only drop is designed as a 10-piece release. If only 6 VIP members purchase during the 24-hour window, the population count may fall to 6 and the remaining 4 pieces are vaulted or not produced, unless a VIP chooses to purchase a second or third VIP piece within the window (subject to availability).
Allocation Mode for Limited Drops (Fairness When Supply Is Tight)
VIP Status is designed for access without stress. When a drop is extremely limited, ArtMX may use an Allocation Mode to ensure fairness among VIP members rather than a speed race at checkout.
- Standard Mode (supply > 10): VIP early access operates normally.
- Limited Mode (supply ≤ 10): ArtMX may run a Seat-Reserved Claim Window for VIPs. During this window, each VIP seat may claim up to one piece (no speed race). Unclaimed pieces may be released afterward to VIPs for additional purchases or to the public at ArtMX discretion.
- Ultra-Limited Mode (supply < 10 and VIP demand exceeds supply): ArtMX may use an interest RSVP + randomized allocation with a fairness cool-off approach to avoid repeated wins by the same members while others miss out.
Example: A drop contains 10 total cards (no XXL). If all 10 VIPs want one, Limited Mode may be used so each VIP can claim one during the claim window without racing checkout. If fewer than 10 VIPs claim, remaining inventory may be released after the window.
Allocation Mode is used selectively to preserve fairness and collector experience when supply is extremely limited.
Drop Hierarchy: Artist Proof, Alpha, Gold Label
ArtMX maintains a clear hierarchy so the art remains primary and the rules stay consistent.
- Artist Proof (AP) — VIP only, when available: some drops include 1 Artist Proof reserved for VIP members only (never public). AP is purchased at the regular card price. When an AP exists, it is assigned among VIP buyers using the AP cool-off list.
-
Alpha — select drops only: some drops include 1 Alpha. The Alpha is considered the most beautiful piece of the drop. Not all drops have an Alpha. Alpha is assigned among VIP buyers using the Alpha cool-off list.
If only one eligible VIP purchased the drop, that VIP automatically receives the Alpha (unless in Alpha cool-off). - Gold Label — randomized, when included: the Gold Label card is considered the original artwork with a gold frame. Allocation is always random. The collector who pulls the Gold Label may claim one free matching XXL Art Card (Gold), free of charge.
- Choice vs Chance (important): Gold Label is only available via random pull. If a collector claims the Alpha or a specific variation on a drop where that option is offered, they give up their chance to pull the Gold Label for that drop.
- Separation rule: an Alpha card cannot be a Gold Label card.
- Eligibility rule: AP/Alpha/Gold Label assignment requires purchase of the applicable drop.
Fairness & Activity
AP and Alpha are assigned using separate cool-off lists to prevent repeat wins until other eligible members have had opportunities. VIP members who have not purchased in the last 60 days are considered inactive for cool-off cycling and do not block fairness cycles until they purchase again.
VIP Wallet & Year-End
- Not a fee: the $5,000 is a prepaid wallet load and remains available to spend on ArtMX purchases.
- Status through 12/31/2026: VIP status and perks remain active through year-end even if wallet reaches $0 (standard payment methods may be used).
- Unused balance: any remaining wallet balance does not disappear; after 12/31/2026 it remains as standard store credit if you do not renew.
- Renewal: 2027 terms (including wallet amount) may change and will be communicated at least 30 days before year-end. No renewal grace period applies.
Notes: AP/Alpha/Gold Label and VIP Blind Box availability vary by release and are not guaranteed per member. Free shipping excludes customs, duties, and local taxes. ArtMX reserves discretion on link timing and allocation rules as stated above.
VIP Vault 2026 — FAQ
Is this a physical product?
No. This purchase activates VIP Status for 2026. No item ships from this enrollment purchase.
Is the $5,000 a membership fee?
No. It is a prepaid wallet load that activates VIP Status for the 2026 program year. Your balance remains available to spend on ArtMX purchases.
Do VIP members have to buy every drop (including VIP-only drops)?
No. VIP is access and priority, not obligation. If a release isn’t your taste, you simply skip it.
When do VIPs receive the early access link?
At least 1 hour before the public drop time, and sometimes earlier (including the day before) at ArtMX discretion. The link is purchasable upon receipt.
How does VIP XXL pricing work?
VIP XXL pricing is $500 (regular $650). There is no per-drop quantity restriction for VIP pricing, subject to availability and allocation rules.
What is a Companion Set Upgrade?
VIP members receive 10 personal promo codes during 2026. Each code can be redeemed once at checkout on an eligible regular Art Card purchase to add a matching XXL companion card to the order. Eligibility depends on the release (a matching XXL must exist and be designated eligible by ArtMX).
Are VIP blind boxes guaranteed? Can they include one-of-ones?
VIP blind box opportunities may be offered periodically. Contents vary and may include true one-of-one pieces, but availability is not guaranteed on a fixed schedule.
How do VIP-only drops work?
VIP-only drops occur once per month and open a 24-hour private window. Each VIP may purchase up to one piece during the window. If fewer than 10 VIPs participate, the population count may fall to the number of participating VIP buyers and remaining pieces may be vaulted/not produced unless additional purchases are made within the window (subject to availability).
How do you keep VIP access fair on very limited drops?
When supply is extremely limited, ArtMX may use an Allocation Mode rather than a speed race. For drops with supply ≤ 10, we may run a Seat-Reserved Claim Window where each VIP seat can claim up to one piece. For ultra-limited scenarios where VIP demand exceeds supply, we may use an interest RSVP + randomized allocation with a fairness cool-off approach.
Does Allocation Mode replace VIP early access?
No. VIP early access remains the standard approach for most releases. Allocation Mode is used selectively only when supply is extremely limited, to preserve fairness and a premium collector experience.
What are Artist Proof (AP), Alpha, and Gold Label?
AP is VIP-only when available (never public) and purchased at regular price. Alpha is a select-drop designation considered the most beautiful piece of the drop (not available on all drops). Gold Label is always randomized and grants the winner the right to claim one free matching XXL Gold. Alpha cannot be Gold Label.
If only one VIP buys a drop, do they get the Alpha?
If an Alpha exists and only one eligible VIP purchases the drop, that VIP automatically receives the Alpha unless they are in the Alpha cool-off list.
Can I “choose” Alpha or a specific variation and still pull Gold Label?
No. Gold Label is chance-only via random pull. If you claim Alpha or a specific variation on a drop where that option is offered, you give up your chance to pull Gold Label for that drop.
What if my wallet reaches $0 before year-end?
You remain VIP through 12/31/2026. You can continue purchasing using standard payment methods.
What if I don’t spend all $5,000 by 12/31/2026?
Your balance never disappears. If you do not renew, any unused balance remains on your account as standard store credit after year-end.
Is there a renewal grace period?
No. VIP perks end at year-end if not renewed. 2027 terms will be communicated at least 30 days before year-end.
